BIO Born and raised in Baixada Fluminense, in the state of Rio de Janeiro/BR. Graduated in Visual Arts from the Federal Rural University of RJ in 2018, where she specialized in painting, illustration and animation. The name "Marias" is a derivation of her personal name Maria + the plural "s", as a way of carrying with it the ideal that alone or not, all women are many in one, that is, there are several. 

The development of the paintings intertwines images from the artist's memories. In his imagination we are all completely free and sure of the non-existence of our own security. Because of her great skepticism of the protection systems, the prisons that protect us, the artist turns to her research the human representation in her social relations conflicting with her individual wills.

As death and life in counterpoint have always been issues on which she has constantly reflected throughout life, the productions have as their starting point the ruptures, the end and the beginning, focused on the search for amplitude and expansion. For this reason, the artist materializes her dreams of freedom by producing feminine forms that reflect her feelings of belonging to emptiness, reacting to instinctive feelings of finitude by turning to what is really essential. Flying women are part of her childish imagination, they arose when she didn't have the freedom to go where she wanted to go and used them to spy beyond the mountains. Today they exist, live and show you what must be done when we are truly free and mortal.

Part of his pictorial inventions comes from investigations into sensations and questions experienced when facing death as the breaking of expectation related to time and the control of life. Her creations address issues related to the complexity of human existence, having as main focus the life of women and their position in the world. His art revolves around reflections about who we are, where we want to go and what we really want having as main themes the inevitable transformations in the face of limits, unexpected ruptures as well as the forms of adaptation and liberation existing at the end.
